Born and raised in the England, Ben Lauder-Dykes started his fitness journey playing sports from a young age and eventually playing professional soccer in the UK. A devastating injury introduced him to the gym, which is when his passion for fitness really started. After leaving professional sports, it was a very easy and natural progression to move into the fitness industry.
Ben has been in the fitness industry now for over 10 years and loves what he does, whether it’s teaching group fitness or personal training. Ben has also participated in bodybuilding competitions (regional champion!), Crossfit competitions, and has run marathons.

I don’t really have one in particular, I see inspiration in anyone willing to put in the time and work to get what they want--whether it’s a client in class or a professional athlete.

6 What is it about group fitness?
The energy, focus, and friendly competition. Everyone is in it to win it, you can’t get distracted, and, even if you are not a competitive person by nature, the people around you are pushing you to do that little bit more you didn’t think could. You are also encouraging those around you to do more than they thought they could as well!

Oatmeal. I love cereal...

12 Most challenging exercise movement and why?
Burpees!! Something so simple, just getting off the floor...can be so challenging. Doesn’t matter beginner or advanced physically, mentally, emotionally it will get you!

Oatmeal! I LOVE cereal...
14 Your biggest accomplishment?
Winning a bodybuilding competition and completing my first marathon. Something you put so much time & effort into is so rewarding
