A New York City native, Simon fell in love at an early age with the competitive, social, physical, and mental challenge of sports. He played football and ran track in high school at Fordham Prep and continued to play football at the University of Buffalo where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After graduating, Simon returned to NYC to work for companies such as Ernst and Young, Marsh and McClennan, The College Board and John Wiley and Son’s.
After working in corporate America for several years, Simon’s passion for an athletic lifestyle and competitive spirit led him to the fitness industry. Simon became certified as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a group Exercise instructor through the American Fitness and Aerobics Association. He has trained hundreds of clients, instructed thousands of classes and tens of thousands of class participants at New York Sports Clubs and various other gyms throughout the city. His workouts have been featured on various television programs such as Good Day New York. Simon is an avid obstacle course racer and uses HIT workouts to train and prepare for the grueling challenges he faces during these races.

My first FHIX was an awesome class with Eric and Jason. It was filled with high energy, lots of air squats and hilarious banter.

5 Favorite guilty pleasure?
Bazzini's Dark chocolate covered almonds. It's the second bag that leaves me feeling guilty.
6 What is it about group fitness?
The power to impact so many people in positive way is addictive. I also can’t deny I love the platform to perform.
7 Post workout snack?
A homemade protein shake.

Leo/Virgo, I’m on the cusp. No I don't read. Well I read, just not horoscopes.
9 Food you can’t live without?
Bananas. I need them for my protein shakes and oatmeal.
10 What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A professional football player.
11 A perfect Sunday afternoon activity?
Riding my motorcycle, working out, and watching football.

13 Most challenging exercise movement and why?
Burpees, then immediately going into Ring Muscle Ups.
14 Your biggest accomplishment?
That time I made it back alive from Panama.

“The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho.

Thailand. Worst, Panama.
